March 17, 2020. Safia shares her thoughts on what she has learned from this year's ACS Leadership Institute in an essay published in ACS's C&EN on March 14, 2020. She was one of awardees of the Younger Chemist Committee's Leadership Development Award that provides financial support for graduate students and post-doc leaders to attend the conference, an award that she is highly deserved.
