Oksana started her NRC (National Research Council) post-doc fellowship at NRL (Navy Research Lab) in July.

Dr. Tong traveled to China (from June 16 through July 11) for collaborative visit to Dr. Shi-Gang Sun's lab at Xiamen University. He also visited the three chemistry exchange undergraduate students from Georgetown who was doing summer research at Fudan University, Shanghai, delivered invited talks at Nanjing (June 19) and Wuhan (July 3) Universities respectively. Former group member Dr. Bolian Xu is an associate professor at the Department of Chemistry, Nanjing University.

Dejun Chen has successfully defended his PhD thesis on July 5, 2012 at Xiamen University. His thesis work, largely done at Georgetown, was recommended for competing for outstanding thesis award.

Three high schoolers Raynor Kuang, Nathan Kodama, Chris Rom from Thomas Jefferson HS, VA. started doing their summer research in the lab.
