June 27, 2014; New funding from NSF

A proposal entitled "On Heavier Chalcogen (Se and Te) Interfacial Chemistry and Charge Transfer in Monolayer-Protected Metal Nanoparticles", with Dr. Tong as PI and Dr. Allison from NIST as co-PI, has been recommended for funding of $490k by the Division of Chemistry, NSF for three years starting August 15, 2014. This new funding will enable Tong Lab to purchase a new electrochemical scanning microscope for studying charge transfer through a simple metal nanoparticle and metal nanoparticles assemblies.
