Tong Lab alumni updates:

Kevin Browne, who did his undergraduate research in Tong Lab from Fall 2005 through Spring 2008, received his PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University in March, 2014 with Grzybowski. He currently is a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, working under Jackie Kiplinger and Jackie Veauthier and studying actinide chemistry, mainly the organometallic chemistry of thorium and depleted uranium. Despite having been there only for a couple of months, Kevin has already been enjoying what LANL can offer: a different though good environment to live and a different chemistry to study, exactly what he was looking for. In the long run, he will probably end up in Michigan where his fiancee (whom he met in graduate school) accepted a position as a chemist at Dow Chemical in Midland, Michigan.
