In collaboration with colleagues from George Washington University and Sandia National Lab, the TongLab has published a new paper in ChemElectroChem as a Communication entitled "In Situ Stripline Electrochemical NMR for Batteries". It reports a novel and successful adaption of stripline NMR detection to electrochemical systems in general and rechargeable batteries in particular. It leads to an in situ NMR technique that integrates seamlessly the NMR detection with the construction of an electrochemical device and has much higher detection sensitivity, higher sample filling factors, and which is particularly suitable for mass-limited samples.
