06/20/2015: Congratulations to Janice for Being Selected to the 2015 US Chemistry Olympiad Team

TongLab alumnus Janice Ong, a graduating high schooler from Thomas Jefferson High School who is going to MIT has been selected as one of the 4-member 2015 US Chemistry Olympiad team after a highly intensive and competitive study camp at the USAF Academy. They will compete with teams from more than 70 countries at the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO) in Baku, Azerbaijan, July 20-29, 2015. Janice credited that her summer research in TongLab in 2013 is "what really got her interested in higher-level chemistry". But it is really because of her own intellectual capacity, hard work, and perseverance that gets where she is now. Congratulations, Janice, way to go! Our best wishes of best luck to her and the US team at the International Olympiad in July 2015.
