Yangwei attended the most recent Faraday Discussions on Nanoparticles Synthesis and Assembly held at Argonne National Lab from 04/20 to 04/22/2015. He presented a poster entitled "Synthesis of Highly Homogeneous Alkanethiolate-Protected Silver Nanoparticles by Modified Aging Process". Faraday Discussions are among the most scientifically intense symposia organized by the Faraday Division of Royal Society of Chemistry in rapidly developing areas of physical chemistry and its interfaces with other scientific disciplines that have been well-known in scientific community over the last 100 years. Faraday Discussions have a special format where research papers written by the speakers are distributed to all participants before the meeting, and most of the meeting is devoted to discussing the papers. Everyone contributes to the discussion - including presenting their own relevant research. The research papers and a record of the discussion are published in the journal Faraday Discussions. In addition to papers, Faraday Discussions also include a poster session.
