01/09/2015: Goodbye and best of luck, Long!
Post date: Jan 09, 2015 11:48:42 PM
Long Huang, an exchange PhD student from Professor Shi-Gang Sun's lab at Xiamen University, China, is finishing his 6-month tenure in the Tong Lab and returning tomorrow to his home lab. Over the past six months, Long has worked very hard with Eric on learning electrochemical NMR crafts and made notable progress. His life at Georgetown was multifaceted, including seeing snowing for the first time in his life and becoming a rival of Safia and her bird that Long dubbed as "stupid bird." He has also spent 5 days over the turn of 2014 to 2015 visiting New York City. But he said that he likes Washington DC better. We are going to miss him, particularly the "Monkey with a stick". We wish Long a safe trip back to his home institution, best of luck in setting a working electrochemical NMR there using the knowledge and skills learned in the Tong lab, getting his first first-author paper published, and finishing his PhD on time.
